Write a simple bash script called [login to view URL] for Debian that does the following exactly: Please note that the user is loading the [login to view URL] from their home directory with this command from our Gnome menu: sudo bash [login to view URL] Here is what the bash script needs to do: 1. Check the home users /home/Downloads folder for a file called [login to view URL] If the file is there then run these commands: tar jxvf [login to view URL] -C /usr/local/bin >/dev/null 2>&1 mv /usr/local/bin/vm-support-pack/*.sh /usr/local/bin >/dev/null 2>&1 rmdir /usr/local/bin/vm-support-pack >/dev/null 2>&1 rm [login to view URL] >/dev/null 2>&1 cd .. rm [login to view URL] >/dev/null 2>&1 echo "Your Windows Virtual Machine Installers are now ready to use" sleep 3 echo "You will now be redirected to the Virtual Machine Operating Instructions" sleep 3 /opt/google/chrome/google-chrome %U [login to view URL] ***Please note: that google chrome must run as user and not as root or it will fail to load.*** 2. If the home users Downloads folder does not have a file called [login to view URL] in it then the above commands should not run, the script should then only run the folowing commands instead: wget [login to view URL] sleep 2 sh [login to view URL] Please note that the above bash script file "[login to view URL]" loads google chrome at the end of it so it also must run as user and not as root or it will fail to load. Here is what is in the above bash script called "[login to view URL]" #!/bin/bash echo "You must first order the Virtual Machine Support Pack" echo "to install and operate the Windows VM's and Backup & Restore" echo "Menu Options." echo "Now loading the Virtual Machine Support Pack order webpage." sleep 5 /opt/google/chrome/google-chrome %U [login to view URL] rm [login to view URL]
