Hi, I would not recommend using any pre-defined solution that you commonly find these days to create a social networking site, out of the box. It would severely limit the scalability of the website given that every predefined solution has its own limitations. Thus I'd recommend custom development using a PHP based MVC framework like Symfony 2 or CodeIgnitor. However the choice of solution would primarily depend on your budget for this project of course as custom development is costlier but more beneficial in the long run. However if you are looking for less costly options, then we could certainly consider off the shelf solutions. For a project like this, having a documentation of the work scope is of paramount importance. Therefore, I would appreciate it if you could provide a complete list of functionalities.
