Hi, I'm professional developer with large experience in video processing and post processing including streaming. Can you tell me more about your restreaming needs, will your PC be a streaming server? Do you need to save captured channel to disk?

Hello, first of all 2-3 things about me, even if this is a new account, I have been member of the site for many years since it was called RentACoder, unfortunately my former employer prohibited freelancing outside main job and I had to cancel my subscription, the current employer has no problem with the side projects as long as they won't compete with my main job. About your project, as far as I understand from your description you have an USB TV Tuner and you'd like to do network streaming of a selected TV channel, preferably via VLC or another program. As long as can make the tuner's video to be visible to VLC as a Windows standard video source (aka WebCam) you can use VLC or any other of the free streaming programs. The project is doable and if the video stream is not using Windows Protected Media Path (PMP) it will be rather simple to do it, if it does use PMP it may take a bit longer (this may be the case for HD and encrypted channels). To give you a realistic estimation about the time needed to do the project I will kindly ask you to archive the whatever software the tuner has and put it somewhere and to run an USB scanning program from Microsoft. All details will be provided if you consider my bid, I have the necessary expertize and skills to do quick your project and for the moment I'm more interested into getting glaring reviews and less into money so you get an affordable hourly rate. Please feel free to contact me anytime with questions, cheers Zevedei

Hi, I work at local cable operator so I have a good experiences with TV streaming and VLC. But I have one question. You have ATSC tuner but Russia used DVB-T as a TV standard. It can't work. We could discuss it. Send me a message.
