Seek a very skilled architect; with a VERY strong background, knowledge base, and prior portfolio in residential architecture. Designer/Architect needs to be familiar with the design principals and methodologies used in "A Field Guide to American Houses" by Virginia Savage McAlester (Author), Lee McAlester (Author)
We will provide the chosen professional with a conceptual floor plan (in AutoCad), to which that conceptual floorplan needs front, sides, and rear elevations. In addition, a roof plan/design and specifications on the material used in the elevations.
In short, the completed project will consist of 4 elevations, a roof plan, material specifications and detailed notes, and hopefully a full 3-D rendering on the house. The design needs to be to scale, and to the point that it could easily to converted to a "bid set" of plans later.
To ensure time, on both sides, is not wasted, the project design will be done of phrases to ensure the design is going down the right path or direction.
Please see the attached image of a single "example" of designs concepts we seek. I can and will provide other design examples upon request.
