I would like to know the relationship between the length of a blog post and the number of comments it gets.
I could manually take a sample, but I thought maybe a quick bit of software could be developed to automatically measure this, across a major site such as wordpress or blogspot.
The data should be delivered as a simple scatter plot, with blog length (in words) on one axis and number of comments on the other axis.
Thanks!

Hello -- I can perform robust statistical analysis on the relationship between blog length and number of comments. Standard deviation from mean number of comments, correlation values, mean number of comments by website/specific blog -- all could be thrown in with this idea without much added difficulty. Web scraping this information is simple enough, and I would relish the following analysis.
