Veeam Backup Corrupted - Data Recovery - Veeam Expert

We have a VM on hyper v with the size of 500GB. We have been getting backups on an external hard drive for a while. The server crashed and we ended up using the backup. We realized the backup itself is corrupt. I am wondering if there is anyway to restore or recover some of the data from the veeam backup. When I restore, it says it failed to decompress and sometimes it says missing block.
