My business needs the following functionality. - a "credentialing" type of database that would track information regarding individuals, e.g. GPA, degrees, honors, photograph, etc. (an exact list of data elements will be defined in the next couple weeks; for now you could estimate 100 data elements per individual. Database needs to scale up to 1 million individuals.) - the functionality of this database would be similar to that needed by a temp agency. - this database also needs to have history and controls by field, similar to credentialing databases for physicians. - the database needs to be connected to a web site, so that individuals and their related information can be presented and searched via web portal. - the web site would have pages open to the public and pages restricted to those with portal access. - portal security needs to be defined by at least three user classes, so that users would be limited in which pages and data they could see. - the web site needs the ability to charge access fees to users.
