Back Ground
We set up the site initially to sell Land Rover parts and products from one supplier. Worked well with minimal issues.
Easy Populate Module added to make the updating of prices easier.
Updates
Supplier sends a monthly spreadsheet in csv format.
Current prices are extracted from the webpage.
A couple of processes are run in excel to determine which products have changed in price, by how much and whether up or down.
Issue
When we started selling the same products from another supplier ( same part number ) we had to change the prices of the new supplies products based on the original suppliers price.
Example
We sell supplier A part no 123 for 10.99
Supplier B has the same part no but at a slightly better quality and we sell at 12.99
Therefore the calculation is supplier A + 2.00
Problem
If supplier A decreases the cost of part A to 8.99 the price we sell supplier B’s part is now 10.99.
If supplier B has not reduced or in some cases have increased the price we make a loss.
Solution
We would like a solution where the purchaser can choose the supplier from a drop down as on our page at the moment but have the scalability to have three or four suppliers to choose from.
The prices will be referenced from their own price data base that can be updated without affecting nor being reliant on the others.

Supplier A part no 123 price 10.99
Database B
Supplier B part no 123 price 12.99
Database C
Supplier C part no 123 price 9.99
The purchaser sees a drop down box offering the choice or the same part but of different quality at three different prices.
Price updates come in from Supplier B and supplier C. Supplier B has decreased the price of part no 123 to 11.99 but supplier C has increased to 13.99
We upload the price change csv files to the relevant databases for each supplier and the prices change accordingly
i.e

Database B
Supplier B part no 123 price 11.99
Database C
Supplier C part no 123 price 13.99
