Developer needed to design and implement a product page and shopping cart for shop.antisplash.com. Detailed suggestions and general mockups should be included in proposals.
Please only include examples of your work that would be applicable to our small product line. Easy maintenance, clean layout and easy checkout are musts. Your ideas and input will be very important going forward so your suggestions now will indicate an understanding of the goals of the project and will be valued in a long term relationship. In other words, briefly tell us how you would design a sales site if this was your product. What is most effective? Your input here is a key factor in the hiring decision.

EDIT: We are swamped with proposals that provide too many examples of previous work. We have seen many examples of fine work. It is just a matter of finding a format that is right for our product.
We would like to see only the specific examples that could be tailored to fit our product in the applicant's judgement. These do not have to be the work of the applicant, necessarily. While making our selection process easier, this also demonstrates a grasp of ecommerce and marketing on the part of the applicant. "This is what I would do. It has these features. I can do this for you for this amount" is what we are looking for.
Also technical questions such as what platform we prefer, languages, etc.. are not useful. We have no knowledge of the relative merits of these. In this area will rely on the judgement of the contractor.
