Bitnami wordpress stack in AWS

I am using Bitnami wordpress stack in t2-micro (free tier) in Amazon webservices. I am having gateway timeout issue that is hindering me from continuing my store configurations. I need some who can troubleshoot this for me and make the site to be free from unnecessary timeout.

The instance that you are running could be low on memory. You don't need to upgrade to another instance that is NOT free tier, but you could easily add some swap space to your bitnami WorPress site.
