Bookkeeper

MGE consulting group helps and serves Financial Institutions globally from setting up licensed entities, compliance and on the ground support to correspondent banking, capital raising, and M&A. The group consists of two consulting firms for financial institutions with a focus on the banking and payment industry, a Real Estate Investment Management firm and a Media Production house. The firms are active in Hong Kong, Singapore, Ukraine, Lithuania and Canada. Job Summary We are looking for an exceptional Bookkeeper to support our international team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the finance team and the business management. Key Responsibilities The bookkeeper will maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial reports through oversight of expense and income entries. This is a high-volume position that requires attention to detail, initiative and consistent accuracy. Key responsibilities include but not limited to: Inputting data in Xero Verify that all transactions in Xero are accurately coded to the proper account, vendor, customer and class Assist in preparation of customer invoices Reconciling reports to third-party records such as bank statements Producing various financial reports Drive continuous improvements in the company’s accounting processes Provide other miscellaneous or basic accounting related tasks Skills Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required (accounting or finance degree) Experience with Xero is a must Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices and standards Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word), and ability to learn required business systems. You must be reliable and pro-active Detail-oriented and deadline driven with proven ability to multi-task across projects
