I have a Bible Trivia game that I created many years ago that I want ported to as many mobile devices as possible. The game can be found here:

(you'll need to sign up and log in if you want to test it out)

There are 2 ways you can go about this:

Recode the game to Flash ActionScript 3.0

I'll give you my flash source but the game was coded in ActionScript 2.0 which means it'll have to be recoded for ActionScript 3.0. Also, you'll have to make it compatible with Adobe AIR so that it can be exported to Mobile Devices including iPhone, iPad, Kindle Fire, Nook Tablet and Android devices. It should also be capable of being exported to Windows Desktop, Mac Desktop and the web browser.

Recreate the game using YoYo Game's Game Maker

If you choose this route, you'll have to recreate the game from the ground up and it should look and play exactly the same as my Flash game. I'll provide you with all of the graphic files and sound files needed. It should be capable of being exported to all of the devices that Game Maker supports which includes Android, iOS, Windows Phone 8, Windows Desktop, Mac OS X, Linux, HTML 5, Xbox One, Playstation devices and more.

Brief Details about the game

The user has 30 seconds to answer each question and the questions progressively get harder and harder. If they answer all 10 questions, they win!

The questions are grouped based on difficulty, The difficulty can be anywhere between 1-10 where 1 is the easiest and 10 is the hardest. The difficulty of questions depends on which difficulty mode they choose (easy, normal or hard).

A user can select from 3 different lifelines.

The scoring is based on the question difficulty and how quickly the user answers the question.

The user can earn awards for doing various things.

Additional info and Requirements:

-I'll need the source code for sure.

-I want a leaderboard of some sort where the user can submit their score to a leaderboard. Let me know how you'd go about this.

-I need a way to be able to easily update the questions since I might plan to do this with my app monthly. Please let me know how you'll make the app load the questions and why you think that is the best way to go.

-You should provide enough comments in the code so that I can understand how it works in order to make future changes to the game myself. I've got both Game Maker and Adobe Flash and I've got coding experience with both but far more coding experience with AS than GML (though with AS2 and not AS3).

-I plan to release 2 versions of the game for each of the devices: a free version that uses ads (and this version would always have to have an internet connection) and a paid version which is ad free (and will not require an internet connection).

It doesn't matter which route you take but be sure to let me know in your response which one you'll be doing and how you'll be going about it.

I forgot to mention that I already have the questions in a database. The questions can either be loaded into the app from the database (this would only work for the ad version of the game) or I can export the database to any file format to be imported into the game.
