Our program is to give students the opportunity to get one on one tutoring, which is the most effective way to learn and get ahead of their peers. So, we decided to create 2tor , which will be accessible through an app. The purpose of the app is to provide quality tutoring that supports student learning and give students an outlets to increase their knowledge. Our Tutoring Goal is Learner Centered, which means it will provide an increase in student engagement in the learning process, fostering academic improvement, and greater understating in tutored courses. Our company also creates job opportunities for certified teachers to become their own entrepreneurs, and have an additional income, doing what they love.
There are two operating sides to the 2tor app. The first main function which will receive the most traffic is the student’s aspect of the app. The second side of the app is the teachers/tutor’s aspect of the app. While operating the 2tor app from the students prospective, there will be a listed selection of tutors for the students to pick through based on location, and hourly pricing. Once the student selects a tutor that he or she feels will adequately satisfy their specified tutoring needs, the student will then be able to contact the selected tutor through the app to organize a specified time and place to meet. Payments will be made through the 2tor for maximizing ease of usage, and instant payment. Additionally, all scheduled tutoring dates will be recorded and documented accurately. Tutors will be given these important documents via email for personal tax preparation usage.
