Hi, The hardest part of a live trading bot isn't the strategy logic, it's the state recovery. If the bot restarts mid trade, it has to reconcile open orders against TopstepX before doing anything else, or it double-fires. I'd build that reconciliation on startup, plus an idempotency key per setup so duplicate entries are impossible even after an API hiccup. I'd do this in Python, with a persisted order/position store so every entry, stop, and target survives a crash. Simulation mode first, real execution only after your TRE rules match trade for trade against the prototype. I've built AI-driven automation systems with careful order and state handling.
