Website Upgrade: Story Backgrounds & Hook Lines

Our website is a platform for storytelling. Under the current flow, a user can write a story and upload a story cover image. We are now moving away from allowing users to upload cover image for their stories, and Instead of cover image, users will now be mandated to select from our background image library. This library, we will be powered by Depositphotos API so the users will have access to massive list of backgrounds to choose from just by searching with a few queries. our portal will allows users to search via two distinct methods. Users can browse our local library for images previously downloaded from Depositphotos by others users, or switch to search the provider’s entire catalog directly via API. An external image is only downloaded and permanently saved to our local library once a user explicitly selects it for download. To manage API costs and prevent the accumulation of irrelevant assets, users are restricted to downloading exactly one background image per story, and this image cannot be changed when the story has been approved. All images will come with specific size for consistency. Secondly, instead of displaying prologue on home page just as we currently do, users will be mandated to write a Hook line text about their stories. The hook line will not be more than 15 words, and this will display on the background image that they have selected. Users will also be given option to change the font and color of the hook word. This background image will be display currently everywhere we currently display prologue which are: Mobile layout, Desktop layout, and story feed. The result will be an example of the screenshot in the attachment below. This is what will display in replacement of the prologue, in the feed, and in every story prologue. You the selected developer will be provided access to our Stage site for development, and second stage site for testing, and finally uploaded to live site. This task will be deem completed upon upload to the live site and after confirmation by us that everything is working perfectly. Please note that we do not release partial payment. Payment is only released upon the confirmation that everything is working as expected on the live site.
