Brother, you will need an Arduino, a light detector , a H bridge controller and a motor if you just want to make a small working model. If you want to scale it you will need a position sensor too. Hello, This is a similar project we worked on previously. Actuator control using light sensor. Light sensor to be used can be an LDR or LDR based PCB module can be used. For the curtain control, a motor and motor driver/relay can be used. In our opinion, if you only want to control curtains using a light sensor, a simpler less costly approach is to make an electronic circuit rather than using an arduino, which we can do.
