MIT Bootcamps are intense week-long entrepreneurship and innovation leadership programs that challenge participants to launch a company in a week. Entrepreneurs and innovators come from around the world to learn from MIT faculty and MIT-trained mentors.
Bootcampers learn the same innovation framework and curriculum taught in core entrepreneurship classes at MIT, and practice critical skills required to be leaders and drive innovation and collaboration: teamwork, leadership, communication, mutual goal reinforcement, and giving feedback.
Admission to the MIT Global Entrepreneurship Bootcamp is highly selective and based on the following five criteria: rigor, initiative, contribution to community, team and cultural fit, and entrepreneurial potential. Project
Interview alumni of the MIT Global Entrepreneurship Bootcamps to gain a deeper understanding about their life journey. Write short, highly personable stories that informs on their thinking and what they’re trying to achieve. These articles typically profile their lives, professional background, and Bootcamp experience. Most importantly, the writing should emphasize the positive influence the Bootcamp had on their personal, professional, and/or academic lives. The articles should be informative and factual, persuasive and inspirational, without coming off as a bland sales pitch.
We want the reader to learn something new from reading the story - such as a new perspective, way of thinking, insight, or piece of inspiration. Ideally, the reader should be able to identify with the entrepreneur or want to meet others like them, and apply to our Bootcamps.
Written in third person, the articles should follow this structure, with a few insightful quotes in first person to emphasize key inflection points:
1. Pre-Bootcamp
Introduce their life journey before Bootcamp, the problems they’re passionate about solving, and what led them to apply to the bootcamp.
2. Bootcamp Experience
Explain their experience at the Bootcamp, such as the challenges they encountered, what it was like working on a team, and the highlights they had from their time there.
3. Post-Bootcamp
Describe the impact the bootcamp had on the entrepreneur’s life, and what they are doing now as a result.
Deliverables
● 6-10 articles based on interviews with entrepreneurs and any relevant background research about the alumni.
Requirements
● 1 page, estimated at 200-500 words per article.
● Interviews typically last 30 minutes to an hour.
