I need a small-footprint script that periodically scans the HR/Careers pages of a set of IT-sector companies that run their own data centres. Whenever a fresh vacancy mentioning “Linux administration” (or close variants such as “Linux admin”, “Systems Administrator – Linux” etc.) appears, the program should recognise that it has not been seen in any earlier run, capture the full job description, and send it to me by email. Key requirements • Language: Python is preferred, but another easily maintained language is acceptable if it delivers the same automation and accuracy. • Input flexibility: I will pass the list of company URLs in a simple text or CSV file, so adding or removing a target site never needs code edits. • Content capture: Crawl only the HR/Careers section of each site, follow any pagination there, and ignore news, press releases, or other areas. • Keyword logic: Trigger only when the posting clearly relates to Linux administration; avoid false positives from generic IT or Windows roles. • Change tracking: Maintain a lightweight local store (JSON, SQLite, or similar) so that previously found jobs are not emailed again. • Email alert: Send a concise message containing the job title, URL, posting date (if available), and the extracted description. A simple SMTP configuration file is enough—no need for a full mail server build. • Scheduling: It should be runnable via cron / Task Scheduler; a 10-15 minute crawl cycle is fine as long as no single run overlaps the next. Deliverables 1. Clean, well-commented source code. 2. A short README describing dependencies (e.g., requests, BeautifulSoup, Selenium if needed for JavaScript sites) and setup steps. 3. Example configuration files for the site list and SMTP settings. 4. A brief video or screenshot walkthrough proving the alert fires on a test posting. I will consider the task complete once I can plug in three live company URLs, run the script unattended for a day, and consistently receive email whenever their careers page publishes a Linux administration role while ignoring everything else.

Hi, I can build this lightweight Python job monitoring script using requests and BeautifulSoup for static sites, with Playwright as a fallback for JavaScript-heavy career pages. The solution will read company URLs from a CSV file, crawl only HR/Careers sections with pagination support, and use precise keyword matching to detect Linux administration roles while filtering out false positives. It will maintain a SQLite database for deduplication and send concise email alerts via SMTP configuration. The script is designed for cron/Task Scheduler execution with built-in overlap prevention. You will receive clean, well-commented source code, README with setup instructions, example config files for URLs and SMTP, and a video walkthrough proving the alert system works. I have extensive experience building automated job scrapers with accurate keyword filtering and reliable change detection. I also offer FREE post-delivery support to refine keyword logic based on initial results, adjust selectors if career pages change structure, and assist with scheduling setup during the first month. Let's discuss the project in more details.

Hello, The most reliable approach is to build a configurable crawler that reads company URLs from a CSV, scans only Careers pages, applies keyword matching with duplicate tracking, and stores processed jobs in SQLite/JSON to prevent repeat alerts. It will automatically email newly detected Linux administration roles with the complete job details and run unattended via cron or Task Scheduler with minimal maintenance.

Careers pages for data centre operators are often behind Workday, iCIMS or Greenhouse, so a chunk of your company list won't parse from raw HTML and needs a headless render step rather than plain requests and BeautifulSoup. Telling a genuine Linux admin opening apart from a Windows sysadmin req or a generic "IT Support" listing is where I'd put the effort: a phrase list for Linux admin roles plus an exclusion list for Windows Server, Active Directory and helpdesk terms, checked against a SQLite table keyed on job title and URL so reruns only surface actual new postings instead of re-flagging the same job every cron cycle. Static and JS-rendered pages both feed one normaliser, then dedup, matching and the SMTP send run as a separate step so you can retune filters without re-scraping. 35000 INR over 4 days is a starting number off the brief, and what would move it is how many of your listed companies actually need the headless path rather than plain HTML. M1: crawler across your company list, static and headless, storing raw postings, 14000 INR, 1.5 days. M2: Linux-admin matcher, SQLite dedup, SMTP alerts on a cron cycle, 21000 INR, 2.5 days. How many companies are on the initial list, and do you have SMTP credentials ready or should the config just take host, port and login?

Dear Client, I read "Python or any equivalent Job Posting Crawler" carefully and understand you want a job portal that connects employers and candidates effectively. My hands-on experience with Python, Web Scraping aligns directly with what you need. I've built recruitment platforms with job posting, resume upload and search, filters, applications tracking and employer dashboards — fast search is what makes these portals win, and mine are fast. A few quick questions to get us started: 1. Will employers post jobs directly, or will admins manage listings? 2. How will it earn — featured jobs, resume database access, subscriptions? 3. Which region/industry are you targeting first? Thanks & Regards, Deepak

Your requirement is a lightweight job monitoring script that checks only the Careers sections of your target companies, detects newly posted Linux administration roles, and emails the complete job details without sending duplicate alerts. I would build it in Python using a configurable URL list from a CSV or text file, crawl only the relevant careers pages with pagination support, apply keyword matching that minimizes false positives, and store previously detected jobs in SQLite or JSON. The script will be designed for unattended execution with cron or Task Scheduler, include simple SMTP configuration, and provide clean, well commented code with clear setup instructions. I will also include sample configuration files and a walkthrough showing the alert workflow. Let's discuss the target websites so the crawling approach fits each careers page correctly.

As an Embedded Systems Developer, Linux Server Administrator, and Python Developer, I have all the skills you need to create a precise job posting crawler. With significant experience using Python for web scraping and automation purposes, I am confident in my ability to design a small-footprint script that not only meets your language preferences but also guarantees utmost accuracy and efficiency in finding relevant Linux Administration roles. One of the essential aspects of this project is ensuring input flexibility. Given my expertise, I will create a script that allows you to add or remove target sites without requiring code edits – this can be done by simply passing a text or CSV file with the company URLs. Additionally, I understand the significance of content capture and keyword logic; with my strategic approach to scraping, I can make sure we focus only on HR/Careers pages while avoiding false positives from generic IT or Windows roles.

Hello, I can develop a reliable Python-based job monitoring script that scans company Careers pages, detects new Linux Administration openings, and sends email alerts only for unseen matching jobs. The solution will use a configurable CSV/TXT site list, SQLite/JSON for tracking, and SMTP for notifications, making it easy to maintain without code changes. I'll provide clean, well-documented code, a README, sample configuration files, and a walkthrough video demonstrating the alert workflow. The script will support pagination, filter irrelevant pages, prevent duplicate emails, and run seamlessly via Cron or Windows Task Scheduler. I focus on building accurate, lightweight automation with clear documentation for long-term use.

I can build this as a clean, maintainable Python crawler that watches only each company’s HR/Careers pages, follows pagination, and filters tightly for Linux administration roles while avoiding false positives from generic IT/Windows postings. I’ll use BeautifulSoup for parsing, keep target URLs in an external text/CSV config, and store seen jobs in a lightweight local database so alerts are never duplicated. The script will capture the full posting, title, URL, date when available, and send concise SMTP email alerts as soon as a new matching role appears. I’ll make it cron/Task Scheduler friendly with overlap protection so runs don’t collide during a 10-15 minute cycle. You’ll also get well-commented source code, a setup README, sample config files, and a test walkthrough showing the alert working on a sample posting. Do the target careers pages load server-side HTML, or should I plan for JavaScript-rendered listings on any of them? If any target site loads careers content dynamically, I can add a small Selenium fallback only where needed. Imran

I can build this as a lightweight Python crawler focused specifically on HR/Careers sections, with reliable filtering to detect Linux administration roles while minimizing false positives from unrelated IT postings. The implementation would use a modular approach so new company URLs can be added through a TXT/CSV file without changing code. For crawling, I would combine requests + BeautifulSoup for standard pages and selectively use Selenium only when a careers portal depends heavily on JavaScript rendering. Pagination handling and domain-restricted crawling would ensure the script stays inside the intended careers area. For detection accuracy, I would implement keyword normalization and contextual matching instead of simple exact-term searches, allowing recognition of variations like “Linux Admin”, “Linux Systems Administrator”, or similar titles while excluding generic infrastructure positions. To avoid duplicate alerts, the script will maintain a lightweight SQLite or JSON-based history of processed vacancies. Email notifications will include title, URL, posting date when available, and the extracted description through configurable SMTP settings. The delivery includes clean source code, setup documentation, example configuration files, and a short walkthrough demonstrating the alert flow against test postings. The solution will also be designed to run safely from cron or Task Scheduler without overlapping executions.

Hi there ! Clean spec, so let me flag the two things that actually make this reliable rather than flaky. Careers pages are nearly all JavaScript now - Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, SuccessFactors. requests and BeautifulSoup see an empty shell on those. So I detect per site: fast static parse where it works, headless Playwright only where a page needs it. Small footprint, but nothing silently missed. Second, dedup by a stable job ID or the posting URL, not by the description text. Companies re-render the same job with tiny wording changes, and hashing the text re-emails you the same role. Keying on the URL stops that. Keyword match on the title and body with word boundaries, so "Linux admin" fires but "Windows" and generic IT do not. SQLite store, SMTP config file, CSV site list, cron friendly with a lock so runs never overlap. Timeline : 6 days Budget : ₹18,000 Thanks!

Job sites that render postings client-side will silently return empty pages to a plain requests fetch, so the crawler needs to detect JavaScript-heavy pages and fall back to Selenium automatically rather than miss listings. I'll build the Python script with a CSV-driven URL list, SQLite for deduplication across runs, and fuzzy keyword matching to catch "Linux sysadmin" and similar variants without tripping on Windows or generic IT roles. SMTP config stays in a separate .env-style file. A process lock file will prevent cron overlap on slow sites. 1. Are any of your target company careers pages JavaScript-rendered, or do they load job listings in plain HTML? Cheers, Shayan
