We are working on a project building a lightweight, clip-on glasses attachment that tracks focus, fatigue, and body posture. This is a research-grade neurotech prototype (not a medical device) meant for pilot testing and investor demos. We’ve mapped out the concept, and now we need a practical, budget-conscious hardware engineer to bring the electronics to life from scratch. What We Are Building A tiny, battery-powered wearable that packs in a lot of sensor tech: Eye Tracking (EOG): Measuring blinks and eye movements. Heart Rate (PPG): Tracking heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV). Movement (IMU): Monitoring head posture and motion. Data Transmission: Using Bluetooth (BLE) to send all this data to a phone/computer for multi-sensor fusion. What You’ll Do We need you to design the complete electronic architecture and schematics from end to end. This includes: Picking the components and keeping power consumption ultra-low. Designing the analog front-end to clean up delicate eye-movement signals. Setting up the battery charging system (LiPo via magnetic charging). Planning for a very tight, compact wearable space (experience with rigid-flex or small PCBs is a huge plus). Giving basic layout guidance so we can manufacture a reliable V1 prototype. Our Planned Tech Stack (Open to your suggestions if you know a better way!) MCU: Nordic nRF52840 or nRF5340 PPG: MAX30102 (or similar) IMU: BMI270 or ICM-42688 Power: LiPo battery with a magnetic charging setup Who We’re Looking For We care about practical skills over fancy resumes. We are highly open to talented up-and-coming engineers with smaller profiles if your technical understanding is strong. Bonus points if you have experience with: Low-noise bio-signals (like ECG, EEG, or EOG). Designing for tiny, battery-operated wearables. Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) systems. Location & Budget Note: Because we are at very early-stage, we are looking for cost-effective talent. We welcome engineers & other competitive hardware engineering hubs. How to Apply Please send over a message with: A few examples of past projects (especially wearables or sensor tech). Any schematic or PCB samples you're allowed to share. Your rough estimated timeline and pricing for a V1 schematic design. Looking forward to working together!

As an electrical engineer and hardware specialist with over 10 years of experience, I am more than capable of delivering the complete electronic architecture you need for your smart glasses attachment. My focus has consistently been on designing low-power, compact wearables that pack in a wide range of sensors to effectively track and monitor various bodily functions. This extensive expertise includes the design and implementation of low-noise bio-signal solutions similar to what you require, such as ECG and EEG. Not only do I have a deep understanding of MCUs like the Nordic nRF52840 and nRF5340, but I also have a particular interest in working with power systems, such as LiPo batteries, and the intricacies of ensuring safe yet efficient charging. Additionally, designing for space-constrained wearables is a niche area I excel in; having to create reliable prototypes within tight confines is part and parcel of my core competencies. On top of my technical capabilities, I am committed to cost-effectiveness without compromising quality — crucial for an early-stage startup. From concept to manufacturing guidance, my vision aligns perfectly with your project's needs. Let's leverage my capacity to make smart decisions autonomously, embed agents into workflows, and implement intelligent systems that genuinely ship on React, Flutter, Django, Node platforms using AWS, GCP or Azure infrastructure. endif

Hi, I can help design the V1 electronic architecture and schematic for your lightweight clip-on glasses attachment, focused on low-power wearable sensing, BLE data transmission, compact layout feasibility, and research-grade prototype reliability. The best solution is to first review your form-factor limits, target battery size, sensor placement, EOG electrode approach, PPG location, IMU sampling needs, BLE data rate, charging concept, and expected pilot-test workflow. Then I can select practical components, design the schematic, plan the analog front-end for EOG signal conditioning, integrate PPG/IMU sensors, define the LiPo charging/power tree, and provide PCB layout guidance for a compact wearable design. I’m comfortable with BLE wearables, Nordic nRF52/nRF53 concepts, low-power sensor systems, PPG modules, IMUs, LiPo charging, magnetic charging, analog signal conditioning, compact PCB planning, rigid-flex considerations, BOM selection, and prototype documentation. Deliverables can include: * Complete electronic architecture * V1 schematic design * Component selection and BOM * EOG analog front-end plan * PPG and IMU integration * BLE MCU recommendation * Battery/charging power design * Compact PCB layout guidance * Manufacturing and test notes I’ll focus on a practical, budget-conscious research prototype suitable for pilot testing and investor demos, not medical diagnosis. Best regards Ankit
