During the 14 years of the the trees have significantly grown Front Yard The front yard is significantly sloped and was originally covered in pebbles and stones however over time these were lost and moved to the front of the yard and mulch was laid over. The main issues are - The plants include mature ficus, magnolia, japanese maple, frangipani, multiple cycads, ferns and other shrubbery - Access and maintenance of the trees in the front yard - Roots affecting neighbour’s property - Collapsing retaining walls - Encroachment of trees across the main access path - The main access path cannot be used at night due to large spider webs and spiders across the path - Water feature disused Back Yard The main issues are - The plants include, multiple fruit trees, olive trees, fig tress, palms, ferns - The the increase of tree height near the pergola - Blocking of light into the rear entertainment area - Water feature disused Aim To engage a landscape designer to prepare conceptual through to detailed design from which the construction can be executed for both the front a back yard. Create low maintenance gardens and yards where trees can’t be reached using ladders for trimming and pruning. Identify tree, plants which are to be maintained Identify trees, plant which are to be relocated or removed Identify retaining wall which are be constructed or removed Identify access paths for maintain of the gardens Identify drainage for gardens and yards Remove water features Scope Survey Survey levels and locations of the front and rear yards Catalogue all major tree, palms, hedges. Shrubbery dose not need to be catalogued. Conceptual Design Prepare conceptual designs - two options, hard copy in A1 x 2 copies of each Review and select the preferred option Final review and modification of selected option Issued hard copy A1 x 2 copies of final design for sign off Detailed Design Prepared detailed design drawings “Issued for Construction” All retaining walls details All and any concrete works including stairs, walkways All and any drainage works
