Trying to take modular rehab to the next level

Thank you for your input in advance. I’ll try to be short with my question, whereas I’m typically fairly verbose, and I want to respect your time as best I can. I am looking at a 1975 built manufactured home. I’m not looking at it because I like them, but more for the land, septic, well and electrical drop. This unit appears to be divided by the marriage wall down the middle. I would like to do a substantial addition to this, where I would incorporate two shipping containers in a parallel position with the long exterior wall about 16 feet out from the original foundation wall and front facade of the manufactured home. The end result I have planned would span the 16 feet I’ve mentioned, creating a new front wall of the home with the shipping containers, and where the original front door to the manufactured home is, there would be a large open deck in the middle. I would be adding about 2000sf to what is now a linear shape making the house more of a C, or U shaped house. The new wings of the house, I would like to have vaulted ceilings with a larger pitch to their roofs, which would connect with the original structure. What I would like to know is two fold. A) Would you anticipate insurmountable issues with the rood weight of the new trusses landing on the rear portion of the old structure? B) What type of structural concerns might I meet in opening up the front of the old house to the new additions? I know you can do anything if there are enough zeros on the back end of the check, but I am really wondering if my concept is feasible? Your response will be greatly appreciated! Chad Church
