So you want Unreal Engine 4 Third person template where are 4 characters and can switch between them. And you want character class to have a C++ function which plays sound? If that's what is needed, I can do that. I have experience with coding for UE4 in c++. It should not take much time to create such a template. Which UE4 version you are using? And you mentioned that you didn't succeed to get Blueprint Third Person template to work with Visual Studio 2017. C++ and UE4 are kind of tricky, maybe you needed to rebuild project or delete generated folders if something didn't work. If you could provide more details about what didn't work, I could assist you to fix your problems.
