I’m bringing a new physical wearable accessory to market and need a skilled product designer who can take it from vague idea to production-ready files. The project centres on a small, fashion-forward accessory that will sit on the body, so ergonomics, comfort and aesthetics all matter as much as durability. Here’s what I’m after: • Early-stage concept exploration: quick sketches or digital roughs that capture several style directions while respecting real-world manufacturing constraints. • Detailed 3D development in the CAD package you’re most comfortable with (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino or similar), including proper parting lines, draft angles and fastening methods so the factory can quote confidently. • Photorealistic renders for presentations and a short marketing teaser. • A production pack: native CAD files, STP/IGES, 2-D tech drawings with tolerances, plus a concise BOM outlining suggested materials and finishes. Experience with wearable items—particularly accessories—will help you anticipate fit issues, skin contact regulations and small-scale mechanisms. If you can also advise on rapid prototyping techniques (SLA, MJF, CNC, silicone tooling) and work alongside manufacturers during DFM rounds, that’s a bonus. I’m ready to move quickly once I see a portfolio that proves you’ve handled similar scale products. Clear communication, iterative feedback loops and respect for IP are essential. Hi, I read the job description; basically, I am a Mechanical Engineer has completed several mechanical projects in the past and I am interested in the Wearable Accessory Product Design project. I have worked on an Ankle exerciser to satisfy the motion mainly in plantarflexion, Dorsiflexion and Tibial movements project and many projects that are entirely different from each other, and I believe this should be an interesting project for me.
