We are a B2B software company . Our software aligns a companies decisions to their strategic priorities through a process called the Allovance Method. At a very high level, the steps of the allovance method are as follows: 1) Strategize: Meet with the board to define the strategic priorities and objectives of the company 2) Compare: Compare strategic priorities and objectives to obtain relative weights 3) Quantify: Develop scales using the allovance method to measure and quantify each of the objectives (even if they are subjective) 4) Score: Score each project that is proposed. The result is a project scorecard that identifies how each project will impact the organizations strategic priorities. 5) Select: Select a portfolio of projects with as minimum variance as possible from the strategic priorities. We are looking for someone to write a blog on the following topic: 1. How can we scientifically eliminate decision remorse? a. Why do we feel remorse after a decision b. Have we considered all factors c. Did we prioritize our own criteria d. How do we know that the decision that we made aligns with what’s important to us e. Strategic alignment is the only way to eliminate decision remorse. If we are confident that our decision matches what’s important to us we will feel confident about the decision. f. There is no “right” decision. The only way to define the “right’ decision is by measuring how it aligns with our priorities. That’s why people can make different decisions about the same thing and feel “right” about them. This will be an ongoing relationship.
