My wife is involved with a network marketing company (okay, so we both consume the product). I helped her create a website using SBI/SiteBuildIt, which has about 10 pages or so and is very simple. This website has been pretty successful in her group, and she wants to repeat the process for the other product that she uses (called Vemma). The existing website is [login to view URL] Bottom line is that I'm hoping the framework I researched and laid out and spent quite a bit of time creating for the existing site can help save some time in creating the content and look of the new site. This might sound like a stupid plan on my part, but I'll lay out some more details later that hopefully will make it make more sense... ## Deliverables I'll try not to repeat too much from the introduction here... Also, I'm writing this at 3am my time, so when I babble too much or am confusing or unclear...try to forgive me! ----------------- Anyway, the existing website I mentioned in the intro is [login to view URL], and although the product is not mentioned (by design), it is Monavie, whose main ingredient is the Acai Berry. The new product is called Vemma, ([login to view URL]) which is based on the Mangosteen fruit plus some other stuff. There is lots of info on the corporate website, and I started to write some content months ago that might be able to be used as well. I'll attach that content to this project later tonight when I find it. Anyway, since I created and own everything on [login to view URL], I wanted to "jump-start" the new website by borrowing the general layout and format and so on for the new site. (I'm thinking the new site will borrow most/all of the existing general pages on things like lowering cholesterol and anti aging, along with the more product specific pages, discussing the ingredients in Vemma (Mangosteen, Green Tea, etc). We obviously don't want to copy the existing site and simply change the string "Acai Berry" for "Mangosteen" - a decent amount of the context will need to change as well. While some of the content will completely be scrapped and redone, some of it can be reused. For example, since both the existing and new products are antioxidants at their core, they'll both do certain things regardless of what they are made of (Monavie/Acai vs. Vemma/Mangosteen). For example, the [login to view URL] page is mostly about lowering cholesterol, and only mentions the Acai Berry a couple times. It seems like 90% of this content could be reused for the new site by just discussing the Mangosteen, Green Tea, Minerals, etc. Same thing for the Anti Aging, Energy, Diet, etc. pages on the site. Oh, and yes - I do know what duplicate content is and the fact that search engines don't like it. The good news is that the existing site is really by referral only and isn't advertised and we don't care about the SEO side of it (for now at least, and maybe ever). So, the ideal bidder will need to be able to read through the current website, figure out what can be re-purposed and what needs to be scrapped and re-written, etc. I'd love it if the bidder could also create the website (using a template is fine, certainly doesn't need to be custom), do the layout and formatting, and insert a public domain graphic here and there for example to make it look nice overall. I'm really fond of Wordpress, and it would be even better if we could do the new website using WP and the Thesis theme (unlimited license) that I bought. If you do not create the website but just research and write content - ***that is okay! *** The content is really the most important part of the project - so even if you don't do any kind of website creation at all, that's fine - just bid on giving me the content for the pages. I do not expect this project to be that difficult (but I could obviously be wrong). The existing site should provide pretty decent content quickly, and you can borrow everything from it if you want (I can give you a login). By also having all of the basic content I wrote specifically for the new site you should be doing more "clean up" than having to learn a whole new topic, research content, etc. This document I've attached is a first draft with lots of rough edges and not a whole bunch of coherency right now.. I think all in all things are pretty close, but I just don't have the time to take it from where it is now, to cleaning it up a little bit and doing all the little stuff to make it look good and getting it up and running. I hope this all makes sense - or at least it will a little more once you look at the existing site along with the content that I'll attach here to give you a feel for where things currently stand. Thanks for reading through this, and I look forward to your bid.
