In 2017, I was hired by the Center for Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles to write 10 2-page scenes for a week-long acting workshop. In this role, I was given prompts, followed by five days to complete ten short scripts. I delivered the script under deadline. The scenes were filmed and shown at a special screening that was sponsored by the San Antonio Film Commission.
In October of 2017, my pilot script "Escape From Garbage Island" was presented as a staged reading during the Returning the Gift Indigenous Literary Festival.
In May of 2018, this same script was a semifinalist in the Native American TV Writers Lab contest, which was sponsored by Netflix an HBO.
In May of 2018, my short film Tree Memories, which I directed and wrote, was screened at the CineMarfa Festival in Marfa, Texas.
I have a degree in Film and Media Studies from the University of Kansas (Graduation: May 2015).
I studied screenwriting extensively in college, and I fully understand the practice of story structure, outlining, proper script formatting (I use Final Draft on a daily basis) and writing for various genres, .
I have also worked on TV/movie sets as a PA and stills photographer.
I will complete this project within the 40 hour allotment and will report all work in progress at agreed-upon intervals in addition to regular phone meetings for feedback/notes. I would like to be paid in full after my portion of the commercial project has been completed. Thank you and I look forward to working for you.
