The project has to be 8000 words and the topic of the report is : " Does the United States mainstream media affect Eastern societies and could it have an impact on their ideology? " (by eastern it means including Europe). The schools of thought which need to be followed are from Noam Chomsky "Manufacturing Consent","Hegemony or Survival" and "Media Control", "Trust me I am lying" by Ryan Holiday, "When will Jesus bring the pork chops" by George Carlin. Mentioning Stuart Hall would have a great impact on the project.
The subject of this report is to explore the way the western US news broadcasts and newspapers, including big names like "Fox News", "CNN", "ABC" etc,, confront ideas and report news on the basis of the government's interest. Usually in the past the mainstream media would pass on news to the american population which would stick to their ideology and would be passed on to Eastern, from the US border, countries. The report has to demand explanation and find answers to some of the cases that some scandals in recent years have aroused by the state's control over its news anchors. It needs to deeply discuss and analyse the consent and the basis of some of the news channels and look at their past to explain their historical trust. For example in the Vietnam war, after the US dropped two atomic bombs on Japan the news report coverage for the Vietnam war decreased to avoid public demonstrations. This act of disinformation was controlled not by the printing press and broadcast channels but by the government itself.

Writing Style:
The essay should be word processed using 12 point type, a legible typeface (ideally Ariel or Calibri) and 1.5 line spacing.
Number the pages consecutively (pagination) at the bottom of the page.
Leave a margin of at least one inch (2.5cm) on all sides. Ideally your left had margin should be two inches (5cm). This narrows the column of text and makes the essay easier to read.
Justify the text to the left. Indent the beginning of each paragraph. Do not leave a line space between paragraphs.
Titles of books, works of art, plays, films, TV or radio programmes etc should be in italics with the production date (in brackets but not italics) after.
Names of characters in plays, films, TV or radio programmes should be followed by the name/s of the actor/s who played the part (in brackets) after.
Quotations of more than six typed lines should be presented in an indented block quote, preceded and followed by a line space. Other quotes should be clearly identified with ‘single quotation marks’. “Double quotation marks” should be used for spoken quotations and specialist or non-standard terms (such as slang).
All quotes and paraphrasing must be properly referenced in the text using the Harvard system.
In the Harvard System, the full bibliographic references at the end of the essay are listed in alphabetical order by author’s surname. The bibliographic reference should consist of:
Author surname followed by initial, date (in brackets) title in italics. Where published, publisher.
