Data Analyst

Mynd is a Real Estate company managing Residential units throughout the United States. We run our operations using Otto, our internally developed and managed platform. In addition to this, we have a robust data ecosystem which we aggregate data and provide reports/insights to our operators and customers. Our technology teams are spread throughout many countries around the world and work together using remote communication technologies. We expect our members to work as a team with a high degree of collaboration. Integrating into a team takes effort and we expect to retain members for years. We are looking for a long term position working with an established team. Data Analysts focus is collaborating with BI and Operations to provide insights and analysis with our data. We use Periscope as our primary BI tool and Postgres as our Data Warehouse. This position needs to be a master with SQL and Python while being able to communicate with others to understand business processes and complex questions to deliver accurate answers. Skills requirements: - Proficiency with: - Periscope - SQL (Postgres syntax) - Python - Git - Experience with JIRA or similar for task management - Experience with Business Process and Operations based analysis - Experience creating dashboards with a mastery of data visualization principles - Experience with dbt is a plus, knowledge of fact/aggregation transformations encouraged Logistics Requirements: - Must speak conversational English and read/write English well - Join weekly team meetings via Google Meets - Access resources through a VPN - Communicate over Slack, Meets, JIRA and Gmail (will be provided a [login to view URL] account) - Overlap your working time during PST business hours - Enjoy working with a team, collaborating and provide bi-directional feedback - Comfortable using video conferencing with a high degree of professionalism A high degree of quality is expected of the team. The interview process will consist of two parts: 1) screening to ensure communication and expectations are established and 2) technical review to ensure ability to deliver as a Data Analyst.
