We are a music management company based in downtown Los Angeles, California. We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter to join our team for casual employment. The ideal candidate is a driven and passionate music fan, possessing strong knowledge of the local and international music scene, as well as a regular follower of music blogs, websites, radio shows and DJs. Duties include such as scheduling, travel planning, data entry, office management, filing and documenting. Experience in music industry not necessary but highly desirable. Love of discovering new music is essential. This is an entry level position. Your responsibilities: - Travel planning and coordination including reservations, itinerary planning, budgeting, follow ups and cost reconciliations. - Email management, scheduling and calendaring - Develop and maintain contact lists, agendas, meeting scheduling, routine communication and coordinate other business support activities - Prepare files and maintain file storage and file retrieval systems - Perform additional tasks as they arise - Press release writing and bio and profile writing Your qualifications: - Experience in managing and organizing documents and schedules - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Attention to detail and ability to prioritize Desired Skills: Microsoft Excel, Travel Planning, General Office Skills, Microsoft Word, Press Release Writing

I have been editing and writing poetry, books, short stories and more for the last 5 years. I am currently a volunteer editor for the blog posts of a nonprofit. This is a fun project! I would love to help. I actually am a recent resident of Los Angeles and have been in the area for over a year (I am from New York originally, but traveled throughout my 20's to great music places in Boston and New Orleans). So I am very familiar with local venues in the area, and since I handled all of the event planning for trade shows and conferences in the past for myself and my coworkers, this would be a great fit (I used to travel every other week internationally with a team of 8 and host live presentations for our affiliate tracking software at Webapps, LLC and previously with Macromark for over 100 employees every month). The regular office assistant duties will be quick and easy as well, as I am very comfortable online and fast with the computer with lots of experience there as well. Promotions for these events are easy to do online as well, and I will enjoy this project and be able to dedicate a lot of time to it. I am currently in-between careers and would love the opportunity to work with you. I am a very responsible and self-motivated individual. I am available around the block via phone, email, Skype or chat.
