Build SSIS Package Excel file to MSSQL with validation and error output file

I get about 50 excel files periodically over a quarter and need to get them into a MSSQL Database. The MSSQL database has dimension tables (CCY, Country, Sector, Asset, Fund ect...). The MSSQL database has a FACT table where I would like the data stored I'm happy with this structure. ---------------- TASK ---------------- I need a freelancer to create a process to take an excel file and only insert validated correct data into my FACT table. Bad data must be somehow flagged as at the end I want a file generated (potentially with error messages). ---------------- My Idea ---------------- I thought the flow an SSIS package may look like this, but i maybe wrong 1) Take data from the excel file 2) Load into a staging table in database 2) Somehow validate the data with the Dimension Tables, maybe using SSIS or StoredProc (freelancer to write) 3) Load/Insert Correct Data (into the fact table) 4) Generate file with bad data - maybe including error message ---------------- Notes ---------------- I want to use MSSQL Database & SSIS You can change whatever you like but I want efficiency and integrity of database kept I have my database scripts ready to send The freelancer can create any additional tables or stored procedures in the database as they wish. The freelancer may with use a staging table in the database if they want I have an excel example file ready to send, it is an extract. Files could be up to 1,000 lines – but they may quickly get bigger so I’m looking for the most efficient method possible Thanks
