Hey, I am looking for someone to help me finish my project. The project is a strain gauge shift lever or shift knob. it goes in a racing automobile and it is used to monitor when the driver changes gears. it would be a half-bridge or a full-bridge configuration, it needs to have a 3V stand by voltage and an output of 4-5V when the driver touches the shifter. Also, the sensitivity needs to be adjustable. I have a product that already does that here at my shop I could provide photos of the board. I am looking to package all of it with a nice screen to display the input voltage and the output may be some graph of the output vs input. I have been trying to make it my self with an HX711 board and Arduino and I just can't get it to work. I have seen a product that doesn't use a board or a microcontroller, just 3 wires 1-ground 2- 5V 3- signal (output) it's like the Wheatstone bridge is on the shift lever itself, its 3v stand by and 4+V when it's used, but the sensitivity is not adjustable I would be interested in that also. There is a much simpler and cheaper way to do a "strain gauge" type shift knob. You can probably build everything yourself. No need for a microcontroller or programming. Regards, Jim
