A. Short Posting Text KiCad PCB completion and manufacturing file preparation (2 boards, 2-milestone payment) I need an experienced KiCad designer to bring the two PCBs of my 48V/35A 7-phase synchronous motor drive project to production-ready state. Files are in KiCad 9 format (also open in KiCad 10). Power board (180x140 mm, 2-layer): Routing is complete; DRC verification, cleanup of ~30 silkscreen violations, and ERC are required. 2) Management/control board (80x70 mm, 2-layer): 4 signal nets are still unrouted (VBUS_SA, ISENSA2, PWM_S2, J601-Pad33); route them, then clean DRC and ERC. Milestone 1 (payment 1): Complete routing + DRC 0 errors + ERC 0 errors on both boards. Milestone 2 (payment 2): Generate Gerber/drill files, verify in a Gerber viewer, and deliver an aisler.net-ready manufacturing package (2 oz / 70 um copper, 1.6 mm FR4). Deliverables are reviewed by my engineering reviewer at each milestone before payment is released. A detailed technical specification will be shared with candidates. B. Detailed Technical Specification (given to the selected freelancer) Project overview and supplied files Board | File | Size | Layers | Status Power stage | [login to view URL] | 180x140 mm | 2 ([login to view URL] + [login to view URL]) | Routing done; DRC + silkscreen cleanup needed Management (MCU/control) | [login to view URL] | 80x70 mm | 2 ([login to view URL] + [login to view URL]) | 4 signal nets unrouted File format: KiCad 9 (version 20241229). You may work in KiCad 9 or 10; delivered files must open cleanly in KiCad 10. The zips contain full project folders: .kicad_pro, .kicad_sch (including hierarchical sheets), .kicad_pcb. Both boards have copper-pour zones (GND on both sides; plus +3V3 on the management board). Always refill zones (press "B") before any check or output generation. MILESTONE 1 - Design completion (payment 1) 2.1 Management board tasks Route the following 4 unrouted signal nets using the existing design rules: /MCU STM32G474/VBUS_SA /MCU STM32G474/ISENSA2 /MCU STM32G474/PWM_S2 Net-(J601-Pad33) Routing rules: signal track 0.25 mm, 0.20 mm where needed; vias 0.7 mm diameter / 0.35 mm drill; min. clearance 0.20 mm. Do not go below these values (boards will be fabricated in 2 oz copper - see Section 4). Do not move placed components (the position of R601 in particular is approved). Do not change the schematic; if you believe a change is mandatory, obtain written approval first. GND and +3V3 pads connect through zones; refill zones so they show no "unconnected" DRC entries. 2.2 Power board tasks Refill zones, run a full DRC, and fix any remaining errors. Clean up the known silkscreen violations: 16 x silk_edge_clearance + 14 x silk_overlap warnings. Resolve by moving/rotating reference designators; do not reduce text below fabrication minimums (approx. 0.8 mm height / 0.15 mm stroke). Do not modify any copper geometry (tracks, vias, zones, pads) - the board is electrically verified as-is. 2.3 Both boards - Milestone 1 acceptance criteria DRC report: 0 errors (unconnected items = 0, clearance violations = 0). Report file (.rpt or screenshot) delivered. ERC report: 0 errors. Any remaining warnings must be listed and approved. Zones delivered in filled state. Delivery: updated complete project folders (zip). MILESTONE 2 - Manufacturing outputs (payment 2) 3.1 Outputs to produce (per board) AISLER supports three upload paths; order of preference: 1. AISLER Push for KiCad plugin - push the .kicad_pcb directly (safest path - no Gerber generation needed, automatic DFM check), or 2. ODB++ output, or 3. Classic Gerber + Excellon set: - Layers: [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL] (plus [login to view URL] if a stencil is ordered). - Coordinate format 4.6 mm; "Check zone fills before plotting" enabled. - Drill file: Excellon, 2:4 precision, inches (AISLER requirement). - [login to view URL] contains only the board outline (already compliant - do not change). 3.2 Assembly (PCBA) files - AISLER "Amazing Assembly" The boards will also be ordered assembled from AISLER. Prepare the following per board: BOM (bill of materials), CSV or XLSX. Columns: Reference (R601, C12...), Value, Footprint/Package, Manufacturer, MPN (manufacturer part number), Qty. The existing [login to view URL] is the starting point but lacks the MPN column - the freelancer proposes a procurable MPN from AISLER's parts catalogue for every component and submits the completed list for approval. Components not to be populated are marked DNP. CPL / pick-and-place file. KiCad -> File -> Fabrication Outputs -> Component Placement (.pos). Columns: Designator, Mid X, Mid Y (mm), Layer (Top/Bottom), Rotation. Use the same origin as the Gerbers. For polarised parts (diodes, electrolytic capacitors, IC pin-1) verify every rotation against the PCB. Consistency: every SMD reference in the BOM also appears in the CPL; PCB, BOM and CPL are generated from the same file revision. Deliver a BOM-CPL-PCB matching table. Fiducial markers: the boards have no fiducials. For machine assembly, adding 3 global fiducials per board is recommended (1 mm bare copper circle, 2 mm mask opening, at board corners, >=5 mm from the edge). This is a PCB modification - submit the placement for approval beforehand and re-confirm DRC 0 errors afterwards. THT (through-hole) parts: IDC 2x20 header on the management board; XT90 input connector, blade fuse, bulk capacitors and terminal blocks on the power board. AISLER Amazing Assembly is primarily SMD - list THT parts in a separate BOM section marked "to be hand-soldered by the client" (alternatively they can be ordered as parts-only via AISLER Simple Supply). AISLER BOM verification: upload the BOM to AISLER's BOM tool (no template needed - the tool parses existing lists and matches them against the catalogue). Deliver a screenshot showing all parts matched and available. For unmatched/out-of-stock parts, propose alternative MPNs for approval. 3.3 Verification If Gerbers are generated: open the files in a Gerber viewer (GerbView, gerbv, or the Ucamco online viewer), check layer alignment, outline, and drills; deliver screenshots. Upload to [login to view URL] and pass the automatic DFM check, proven by screenshot (no order will be placed - upload and DFM approval only). 3.4 Production parameters (values to select when ordering - part of this spec) Parameter | Value Copper weight | 2 oz (70 um) - both boards Layer count | 2 Board thickness | 1.6 mm FR4 Surface finish | HASL (lead-free) or ENIG Soldermask | Standard (colour optional) Silkscreen | White Min. track / clearance | 0.20 mm / 0.20 mm (no finer features in the design) Note: with 2 oz copper most fabs require min. 6/6 mil (0.15 mm), some 8/8 mil (0.20 mm) track/space. The design uses 0.20 mm; AISLER's DFM check validates this automatically - resolving any DFM warning is the freelancer's responsibility. 3.5 Milestone 2 acceptance criteria Manufacturing package per board (zip): Gerber+drill or ODB++, or AISLER Push project link. Gerber viewer verification screenshots. [login to view URL] DFM approval screenshot. Confirmation that the final DRC on the exact .kicad_pcb used for output generation shows 0 errors. General rules No schematic/footprint/placement changes without approval. Payment for each milestone is released only after review by the client's engineering reviewer. Review procedure: files opened in KiCad 10, zones refilled (B), DRC/ERC reports compared, manufacturing package inspected in a viewer. Any design issue found during the work (short, wrong net, footprint mismatch, etc.) is reported before fixing.

Dear Client, Most bids here will say, I can finalize KiCad PCB files. But taking an existing motor drive PCB design to production-ready status requires more than exporting Gerbers. The real challenges are completing remaining routing, maintaining design rules, achieving clean DRC/ERC results, verifying manufacturing outputs, and ensuring the final files are ready for fabrication and assembly. PCB Must Innovations can help you finalize your 48V/35A 7-phase synchronous motor drive PCBs using a verification-first approach, not just a file preparation approach. With 30 years of electronics design experience, we focus on delivering reliable, validated, and production-ready KiCad files that can move directly to manufacturing. ✅ Where we add value: 1. KiCad PCB completion with routing, cleanup, DRC/ERC verification. 2. Manufacturing package preparation: Gerbers, drill files, BOM, CPL, and STEP. 3. Final checks for AISLER/PCB fabrication and assembly requirements. ✅ Suggestion: Before final output generation, we will refill zones, verify DRC/ERC reports, check BOM-CPL consistency, and validate manufacturing files. This helps avoid fabrication delays and assembly issues. ✅ Questions: 1. Should the existing placement and copper geometry remain unchanged unless approval is provided? 2. Are there any additional fabrication or assembly requirements we should consider? OOPS, Character Limit! Please message me in chat; I can cover more technical aspects of your project.
