Arduino based project for position data

I need to create an Arduino based device that can capture and read stored position data. The device should have two modes (probably use a switch?). One is for 'setting' the position and one is for 'receiving' it. When in 'setting' mode: 1. Use sensors to monitor position in 3D, compass degree, cant angle, etc. 2. With the push of a button, capture the exact position at that moment. 3. Save those settings to a USB drive When in 'receiving' mode: 1. Plug in the USB drive with stored settings and 2. Then be able to load those settings at another time into the device and have it give output in the form of lights to give direction back to the saved position, i.e. up/down and left/right to get back to the position. a. When you need to go up and right, both the up and right lights will be lit. b. When you are on position (within close tolerance) then all the lights will be off. c. Lights can be just simple LEDs The purpose of the device is to be able to position it in a specific spot, direction, and angle. Then save that position. Then be able to grab that position and load it back in at a later time. The device should be able to give directions, per the left/right and up/down lights, to get back to the same exact direction and angle. Currently I have an Arduino Uno, breadboards, wires, LEDs, etc. to work with. I am looking at the Adafruit Precision NXP 9-DOF Breakout Board - FXOS8700 + FXAS21002 for positioning. If you recommend a better device, that is fine. I understand I will also need a breakout board to allow for inserting a USB jump drive. If there are any other hardware items that I need, just let me know. I need the sketch for this program as well as a wiring diagram, preferably in Autodesk Circuit, but I will accept any layout option that I can easily use. At a later point, I would like for duplicate devices to be able to communicate through BlueTooth or other wireless technology in order to share the position information.
