I’m putting together a compact dual-camera dashcam that can watch the road and simultaneously monitor the driver. I already have the product vision and feature set defined; now I need an embedded systems specialist who can turn it into working hardware and firmware. Core functionality • Two SD-resolution image sensors, one road-facing and one cabin-facing • Live video uplink over 4G/LTE plus on-device recording to a removable SD card • GPS receiver for continuous tracking and metadata stamping • Integrated motion sensing and true impact detection, so an on-board accelerometer must trigger and flag critical events even when the car is parked • Clean vehicle-grade power input and automatic power-down logic to protect the battery Scope of work 1. Component selection: image sensors, SoC/MCU (ARM, RISC-V, or similar), 4G modem, GPS, IMU, power management, and thermal considerations. 2. Custom PCB design and layout, followed by manufacturing files ready for a quick-turn proto run. 3. Low-level firmware to handle sensor pipelines, H.264/H.265 encoding, LTE networking, GNSS, SD-card file management, and event-based recording (FreeRTOS or bare-metal is acceptable). 4. Assembly of at least one fully functional prototype with enclosure recommendations. 5. Bench and in-vehicle tests validating video quality, streaming stability, GPS accuracy, and motion/impact triggers. Deliverables • Complete schematics, BOM, and Gerber/ODB++ files • Compiled firmware, source code, and build instructions • Test report detailing pass/fail criteria for video, connectivity, GPS, and impact events • Short demo clip or live link proving 4G streaming in-car I’m leaving cloud portal development for a later phase, so the current engagement is 100 % focused on the physical device and its onboard software. If you’ve shipped camera or telematics hardware before and can run quick iterations from concept to road-ready prototype, let’s talk.

Hi, I can support the dual-view 4G dashcam development with embedded hardware architecture, component selection, PCB design planning, firmware structure and prototype-ready design files. For this budget, I recommend starting with Phase 1: technical architecture, component selection, schematic/PCB design package and firmware plan. Full prototype assembly, enclosure, road testing and 4G demo should follow as separate milestones. My approach will be to first review the product size, camera resolution, streaming target, LTE carrier requirements, GPS accuracy, SD-card recording needs, power input and impact-detection logic. I can help with: * Image sensor selection * SoC/MCU selection * 4G/LTE modem planning * GPS/GNSS integration * IMU/accelerometer selection * Vehicle power protection * PCB schematic and layout * SD-card recording architecture * Firmware module planning * Thermal and enclosure notes * Test checklist preparation Deliverables: * System architecture * Component selection list * Schematic/PCB design files * BOM * Gerber-ready outputs * Firmware pin map and module plan * Power and interface notes * Prototype test plan I’ll focus on a practical, manufacturable embedded design foundation that can move into prototype build and validation cleanly. Best regards Ankit

A dual-camera dashcam with 4G uplink, GPS, and parked impact detection is a serious telematics build — the kind where component selection and firmware architecture decide everything before the first PCB spin. I've shipped camera and sensor hardware end-to-end, including a basketball-embedded motion tracker with ESP32 and IMU, and a custom ESP32-C3 air quality monitor with multi-sensor integration, so I know how to balance image pipelines, power budgets, and event triggers on constrained hardware. Here's what I bring to this: → I've delivered custom PCBs with firmware, like the ESP32 cassette deck controller and the retractable display with anti-theft sensing, proving I can handle mixed analog and digital design. → I've built low-level firmware on FreeRTOS and bare-metal for ESP32 and Nordic platforms, including BLE and WiFi stacks, and I'm comfortable translating that to H.264/H.265 encoding and LTE networking. → I'll handle component selection, schematic, layout, and manufacturing files for a quick-turn proto run, all in-house. → I have an in-house lab with PCB rework tools and 3D printing, so I can assemble and test the prototype myself, iterating quickly. My approach: → Start with a detailed component selection review focused on thermal performance and power draw, then move into schematic capture.

A dual-camera dashcam with 4G streaming and impact detection is a serious build, and I’m glad you have the vision locked down—that makes my job cleaner. I’ve done camera and telematics work before, so this feels very familiar. → I helped develop an ESP32-C3 air quality monitor and a basketball tracker with IMU-based motion logic, so I know sensor pipelines and event triggers well. → I’ve designed custom PCBs in-house, from schematic to Gerber, and shipped working prototypes. → I can handle firmware, PCB layout, and assembly, plus bench and in-car testing for 4G, GPS, and impact events. → I’ll deliver a full prototype and test report, with quick iterations to get you road-ready. For this scope, the cost would be INR 7000, and I can start right away.

Hi, I went through the dashcam requirements. I can handle the hardware and firmware side of this. For this design I would use a video-capable SoC rather than trying to push two camera streams through a normal MCU. The main work will be keeping both camera pipelines, hardware encoding, SD recording and LTE streaming stable together, while GPS/IMU events are handled independently. I can also design the vehicle power section with battery protection and controlled shutdown, and make sure parked impact detection can remain active without keeping the whole system powered. I can take this from component selection and schematic/PCB through firmware, prototype bring-up and in-car testing. Please share the attachment and any size/cost targets you already have for the unit, and I can suggest the hardware architecture first.
