I need a working prototype of an electronic lock that can retrofit a standard residential dead-bolt and be controlled primarily through a dedicated smartphone app (iOS and Android). The unit should sit on the inside of the door, drive the bolt motor mechanically, and communicate over Bluetooth LE or Wi-Fi so I can lock or unlock the door from my phone whether I’m at home or away. Core requirements • Smartphone app control is the main interface; the app must show real-time lock status and allow user management (add / revoke access codes or fobs). • I also want an optional key-fob reader so family members can tap-to-unlock without the phone. • The prototype has to include its own bolt-turning mechanism, powered by AA or rechargeable batteries, with a low-battery warning pushed to the app. • Basic tamper detection (case opened or forced rotation) should trigger an alert in the app. What I expect to receive 1. Functional hardware prototype: motor drive, PCB, enclosure (3-D printed is fine for now), power system and any required sensors. 2. Firmware source code, well commented, ready for compilation on the chosen microcontroller (ESP32, nRF52 or similar). 3. A simple, clean mobile app (native or cross-platform) that pairs with the lock, shows status, and performs lock / unlock commands. 4. Circuit schematics, parts list, and mechanical drawings so I can move toward small-batch manufacturing after validation. 5. 5 copies of working prototype. I’ll be available to clarify door measurements, preferred components, or security constraints, and I’m open to your suggestions on the exact chipset, motor type, or encryption approach as long as the final build is reliable, CSA approved, secure, and ready for the next manufacturing step.
