Hi, I am an embedded systems engineer with over 16 years of experience. I have developed low-power sensor products covering GPS/IMU integration, BLE firmware, PCB bring-up, battery design, and compact enclosures, taking consumer products from concept through production handoff. Relevant private work cannot be posted publicly but can be shown privately under NDA. For this sports vest, I recommend single-lead ECG using snap or textile chest electrodes rather than back-mounted PPG. It should provide more reliable heart-rate and RR data during movement while avoiding many optical motion and skin-contact issues. I would validate electrode comfort and signal quality first. My phased approach is: week 1 sensor and ECG validation on development hardware; weeks 2–4 schematic, PCB, BLE logging firmware, and enclosure; weeks 5–6 assembly, bring-up, runtime, movement, and integration testing. Itemized estimate: - Hardware, PCB, power design, and bring-up: 45 hours / ₹50,000 - GPS, IMU, ECG, and BLE firmware: 60 hours / ₹55,000 - Enclosure, assembly, and system testing: 30 hours / ₹30,000 Total: 135 hours / ₹135,000 over 6 weeks. Do you require raw ECG/IMU streams, or only processed heart-rate and movement metrics? I would be glad to discuss the details and define clear phase-one acceptance tests.

Hi there, I read your offer and hardware brief carefully and understand that you need a first working prototype of a wearable sensor vest for athlete movement tracking, GPS/9-axis IMU data, heart-rate/HRV sensing, BLE transmission, battery operation, and a lightweight sweat-resistant removable module. I can support the schematic, PCB design, sensor/module selection, firmware, BLE data transmission, battery and power design, 3D-printed enclosure, prototype assembly support, and validation testing. For heart-rate sensing, I would recommend starting with optical PPG for this prototype because it is compact, easier to integrate, and suitable for early validation, while keeping ECG as a possible later option if motion artifacts become a major issue. My background in mechatronics, embedded systems, wearable sensors, BLE devices, PCB design, firmware, IMU/GPS integration, and battery-powered prototypes fits this project well. I would suggest a phased approach: first validate the GPS/IMU, BLE, and PPG sensor choice, then move to custom PCB, enclosure, firmware integration, and full prototype testing within the 4–8 week target. Hi, I have 10+ years of embedded hardware development experience and have delivered 80+ PCB/firmware projects covering wearable IoT devices, BLE/GPS systems, motion sensing, and battery-powered products, with multiple designs successfully manufactured and field-tested. My recommendation for this prototype is an optical PPG sensor because it provides reliable heart rate data during athletic activity with lower integration complexity than ECG while meeting the project's first-prototype objective. Approach ✅ I will select suitable BLE, GPS, IMU, and PPG modules and design a compact, low-power PCB. ✅ I will develop firmware for sensor acquisition, BLE communication, and battery management. ✅ I will design a lightweight 3D-printed enclosure and test the complete wearable prototype. Questions ✅ I would like to know your preferred GPS position update rate and IMU sampling frequency for the required movement analysis. ✅ I would like to know whether HRV accuracy is a mandatory requirement for this prototype or if reliable heart-rate tracking is sufficient for Phase 1. ✅ I would like to know whether BLE data should be transmitted using a custom GATT profile or integrated with an existing tablet application/API. Best, Yaroslav

Hi, I can build the first working prototype of your wearable sensor vest with GPS/9-axis IMU, heart-rate sensing, BLE transmission, PCB design, firmware, enclosure, and test documentation. The best solution is to use a phased approach: first validate sensor selection and placement, then complete PCB design, firmware, enclosure, assembly, and testing. For heart rate, I recommend **PPG for the first prototype** because it is lighter, lower-power, easier to integrate, and better suited for a vest insert, with motion filtering handled in firmware. I’m comfortable with wearable sensors, GPS/IMU modules, BLE firmware, battery-powered embedded systems, PCB layout, 3D printed enclosures, sensor integration, and prototype testing. Itemized estimate: * Hardware/PCB design: ₹45,000 * Firmware and BLE: ₹50,000 * Enclosure/prototype support: ₹35,000 Deliverables include: * Schematic and PCB design * GPS + 9-axis IMU firmware * PPG heart-rate integration * BLE data transmission * Battery/runtime planning * Lightweight enclosure design * Working testable prototype * Setup and test notes Timeline: **4–8 weeks**. I’ll focus on a practical, lightweight prototype within the weight and battery-life targets. Best regards Ankit

Hi, I build BLE wearables for a living. My last one was a body worn vitals module on nRF52840 with ECG, PPG, temperature and Li-Po charging. Schematic, 6 layer PCB and firmware were all mine. For HR during sport I would put PPG (MAX86141) first, with IMU accel data feeding motion artifact rejection, and keep a 2 lead ECG footprint on the same board in case you later want beat to beat accuracy. PPG sits far better in a vest than wet electrodes. I design in Altium, so antenna keepout, impedance control and 3D fit against the vest insert are checked before fab, not after. 150g and 4h are comfortable targets with a 400mAh cell. Phase 1, 2 weeks, 30k INR: validation board, real PPG vs ECG data on a moving athlete. Phase 2, 3 weeks, 85k INR: schematic, PCB, firmware, BLE link. (Will be divided into several milestones) Phase 3, 1 week, 20k INR: enclosure, assembly, test report. (but honestly, I am not do enclosure myself so it would be better to exclude assembly. Anyway, if you want, I will try to help this.) I can share the recent relevant project once you open a chat. Best regards, ShengLin Gu.

Here's what I bring to this: → I built a BLE sports wearable with 400Hz IMU sampling, sub-5µA sleep current, and a 150mAh LiPo lasting 4.5 hours active — that's your exact battery target, already proven → I designed a custom equine performance wearable with on-device gait classification from IMU data, handling real-world motion in a rugged enclosure — the sensor fusion and packaging challenges are directly transferable → I handle the entire stack in-house — schematic, PCB layout, firmware, and 3D-printed enclosure — so there are no vendor handoffs and no coordination overhead → My lab has the test equipment and 3D printers on hand, meaning we iterate on the physical prototype in days, not weeks On heart rate sensing: go with optical PPG. The MAX86141 or similar handles motion artifacts reasonably well, and it's far easier to integrate into a vest than ECG, which needs stable electrode contact that shifts during activity. PPG gives you a solid first prototype; we can validate ECG later if you need clinical-grade accuracy. Happy to walk you through my approach and past work on a chat — the equine wearable project is particularly relevant to what you're building.

Hi, I'd love to work on your project. I have experience developing embedded hardware, IoT devices, wearable electronics, custom PCB design, BLE communication, and sensor integration from prototype to working hardware. For a first prototype, I'd recommend an **ECG-based heart rate sensor** as it provides more reliable readings during high-motion athletic activities compared to PPG. I can deliver the complete schematic, PCB, firmware, 3D-printed enclosure, and a fully functional prototype. I'm also happy to follow a phased development approach to reduce risk and meet your 4–8 week timeline. I'd be happy to share similar embedded hardware projects from my portfolio. Your wearable sensor vest for athlete tracking is exactly the kind of project I enjoy most — it pulls together low-power hardware, sensor fusion, and a real-world physical constraint like that 150g target, which is where the actual engineering challenge lives. I've built similar battery-constrained wearable systems before, including a sports performance tracker on Nordic hardware that had to run for days on a coin cell, so I know the trade-offs you're facing around power, weight, and sweat resistance. Here's what I bring to this: → I cover the full stack myself — schematic, PCB layout, firmware, and 3D-printed enclosure design all in-house, so there are no handoffs slowing us down → I have a fully equipped lab with oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and 3D printers ready to go, so we can iterate quickly on the physical prototype My approach: → Then I'd design a compact 4-layer PCB integrating the GPS module, 9-axis IMU, and your chosen heart rate sensor, optimizing for the vest form factor and battery life, followed by firmware development for sensor fusion and BLE streaming Happy to walk you through my approach and past work on a chat — I think you'll find the equine wearable case study particularly relevant to what you're building here.

I would like to take this opportunity to handle your Wearable Sensor Vest Prototype project. I have experience in embedded hardware design, PCB development, sensor integration, BLE communication, firmware development, and 3D enclosure design for prototype products. For this vest, I recommend using an optical PPG-based heart rate sensor for the first prototype because it is lightweight, comfortable, and suitable for continuous sports monitoring when properly positioned. ECG can provide higher accuracy but requires better skin contact and electrode placement, making it less practical for an initial wearable vest prototype. My proposed workflow: • Hardware: Sensor selection, schematic design, PCB layout, power management, and BLE integration. • Firmware: IMU/GPS data acquisition, heart rate processing, BLE data transmission, and basic testing. • Mechanical: Lightweight sweat-resistant enclosure/garment insert design with 3D-print-ready files. Estimated effort: • Hardware design & PCB: 40–60 hours • Firmware development: 50–70 hours • Enclosure design: 15–25 hours • Prototype testing & integration: 20–30 hours Total timeline: 4–8 weeks depending on component availability and testing cycles. I also recommend a phased approach starting with a sensor validation prototype before final PCB and enclosure development to reduce risk.

Hi, I’ll deliver a working prototype with GPS+9-axis IMU, heart rate sensing, and BLE data transmission to your tablet/laptop. Heart Rate Recommendation: ECG chest-strap module (e.g., Polar H10) Why? Studies show chest-strap ECG provides 99% interpretable recordings during high-intensity exercise vs. 91% for PPG-based wearables, with significantly less motion artifact and skin irritation . Since your vest is for active sports, ECG will give you reliable data the first time. PPG is prone to motion noise during running and sudden movements . I’ll integrate the ECG module into the vest and route electrodes through the garment. Approach: Week 1-2: Component selection, schematic capture (ESP32/nRF52 with BLE, IMU, ECG front-end), power budget (target 4+ hours from ~200mAh LiPo) Week 3-4: PCB layout (flexible or rigid-flex for wearability), order boards, source parts Week 5-6: Firmware – sensor sampling, filtering, BLE GATT service, data packetization Week 7: 3D-printed enclosure assembly, integration testing Week 8: Validation against reference, debug, final handoff (schematics, firmware, BOM, assembly guide) Cost Breakdown: Hardware design (schematic + PCB): $5,500 Firmware: $5,000 Enclosure & assembly: $1,500 BOM/components/prototyping: $2,500 I've built wearable prototypes with nRF52/ESP32, IMUs, and BLE data pipelines. Open to NDA. Let’s discuss sensor placement details through the platform. Fixed price: $14,500. Timeline: 8 weeks.
