The task consists in creating an Abaqus model to optimize the angle that a thorn makes with a stem. The thorn is supposed to serve as an anchor to the substrate.

Intuitively, the higher the angle, the better it will be anchored to the soil, but the higher the possibility of breaking.

The volume of the thorn is fixed and then the angle must be changed and the failure stress calculated if a constant force is applied downwards on the thorn (either at the tip or distributed along the thorn). Then the force can be changed at each angle to calculate the maximum force that each angle can sustain. Then the angle can be fixed (leaving the volume fixed as well) and the width of the thorn (at the place of contact with the stem) can be changed and the failure stress calculated and maximum force.

Ideally, this would be done for a stem and thorn modeled as rectangular prisms first to make it simple. Then the stem can be modeled as a tube and the thorn as a cone attached to the tube (like a real stem and thorn).

I need the Abaqus files with the models and the graphs of failure stress versus angle and failure stress versus width, as well as maximum force sustained versus angle, and maximum force sustained versus width
