I run financial advice boutique in Sydney, Australia. We have clients invested in managed fund platforms. Typically they own around 10-12 different managed funds in their account. The (web-based) fee calculator provided by the platform service does not meet our needs. We need an excel based calculator that determines the investment and admin fees a client is paying for the selection of managed funds they hold. We also require the ability to model/project any (fee) changes to those positions/investments...i.e. if they "switch" from a selection of funds to another fund/s. This calculator is the foundation for part of a larger "advice automation" project, so there may be more work to follow if we are happy with the initial output. We have all the fee, product/fund data in excel/CSV format, we just need something built that efficiently does the calculations and has flexibility to make changes.
