I can take the network, DNS and firewall side of this VCF 9 management-domain build. The DNS piece is squarely my area - A and PTR records for SDDC Manager, vCenter, ESXi, NSX and support services, set up so forward and reverse resolution both pass the bring-up checks (reverse/PTR is what most VCF failures trace back to). On the Aruba switchports I'm comfortable with trunk/access configuration and VLAN tagging for Management, vMotion, vSAN and NSX-Edge, plus finalising the IP plan and DHCP scopes, with every change documented as you asked. I'll be straight about depth: on the VMware/NSX-Edge internals I'm solid on the networking prerequisites; if the job needs deep NSX-T design a VCF specialist may go further, and I'd rather say so now than overstate it. Two questions: how many hosts in the management domain, and do you already have the IP/VLAN plan drafted or should I produce it? I work across Linux, DNS, networking and firewalls. Do Aruba trunks carry a Host TEP VLAN at 9216 MTU, not just NSX Edge? 2. Is there a reverse lookup zone for every VCF record? 3. Which device routes the new subnet, and is NTP open? Outbound rules for LCM, NTP and depot access matter too. My plan: 1 review rule sheet and switch configs, 2 route the subnet, fix ports and DNS, 3 apply firewall and NAT, 4 pass pre-checks, deliver CLI notes and workbook.
