I have an Excel file that contains several years of air-quality readings for multiple locations and I’d like to turn it into a small cross-platform app built with Flutter. The core focus is historical data analysis—no live sensor feeds for now—so the app should read the imported dataset, store it in an AWS-based backend that you set up, and let users explore the information through clear graphs and charts. Here’s what the first release needs to achieve: • Import pipeline: take the Excel sheet I provide, parse it, and load it into an AWS data store of your choice (RDS, DynamoDB, or S3 + Athena all work; pick what best fits Flutter and cost considerations). • API layer: expose endpoints that supply the front-end with trend data over time and comparisons between selected locations. • Flutter UI: two main screens—one for selecting date ranges and locations, the other for displaying the resulting line or bar charts. I’m happy with fl_chart or charts_flutter if that speeds things up. • Deployment: deliver clean source code, an AWS CloudFormation/Terraform file (or Amplify setup) so I can reproduce the backend, plus a brief README covering build commands and environment variables. Acceptance criteria 1. A sample build on TestFlight or an Android APK shows trend lines for at least two chosen stations across any user-selected period. 2. The comparison view correctly overlays or juxtaposes locations with legible labels. 3. All data comes from the AWS API you create; nothing should be hard-coded. Later on I may add real-time monitoring and push notifications, so if you architect with that in mind it’ll be a bonus, but it’s not required for this milestone. Let me know which AWS services you prefer and roughly how long the import, backend, and UI parts will take.

Hello, I read your requirement about building a Flutter application to analyze historical air-quality data using an AWS backend. I have experience building Flutter applications with custom backend APIs, AWS services, data visualization, and Excel data processing. For this project, I'd recommend using AWS RDS (PostgreSQL) with a Node.js REST API. It's cost-effective, easy to maintain, and well-suited for historical data queries and future expansion. We can also structure the backend so adding real-time monitoring and push notifications later will be straightforward. The Flutter app will allow users to select locations and date ranges, fetch data from the AWS APIs, and display trends using interactive charts. All data will come from the backend API, with no hardcoded values. I'm happy to share similar Flutter projects involving data visualization, REST APIs, and AWS integrations. Best Regards, Ravina

Hey there, I like the idea behind this project because you’re taking valuable historical air-quality data and turning it into something much easier to understand through a simple mobile experience. I’ll build the Flutter app around your Excel dataset, create the AWS-backed data pipeline and API layer, and deliver clean charts for trends and location comparisons with a focus on accuracy and readability. For this type of historical analysis, I’d structure the backend so future additions like live monitoring can be added without reworking the foundation. I've worked on Flutter applications that connect with cloud backends, process structured data, and present insights through user-friendly dashboards and visualizations. I’ll keep the solution reproducible with AWS setup files, documentation, and testing to ensure the app is fully API-driven and ready for future improvements. Do you already have the air-quality Excel data organized by station and date, or should I first review the file and define the best database structure? Looking forward to collaborating with you. Hi, I reviewed the task to build a cross-platform Flutter app from your Excel air-quality dataset, with an AWS-backed import pipeline, API layer, and chart UI. I’ll parse the Excel file, load historical readings into an AWS data store, then create API endpoints that the Flutter front-end uses for date-range trends and location comparisons. I’ll implement the two-screen flow and render line/bar charts using fl_chart or charts_flutter for clear, labeled visuals. I’ll deliver clean, reproducible source code with AWS CloudFormation/Terraform (or Amplify) plus a README for build commands and environment variables. Let’s discuss here now.

This Flutter app will turn your multi-year Excel air-quality readings into a practical historical analysis tool, with all trend and comparison data served through AWS rather than hard-coded. I’ll use S3 for the uploaded workbook and PostgreSQL on Amazon RDS for structured, location/date-based queries; a Python import script will validate the Excel columns, normalize station names and timestamps, and load the readings reliably. API Gateway with Lambda will expose endpoints for date-range trends, station comparisons, and filtered metrics, with the design kept extensible for future live monitoring. In Flutter, I’ll build the date/location selection screen and a results screen using fl_chart, including overlaid trend lines or side-by-side bars with readable legends, units, and empty/error states. I’ll test the API responses against the source data, then provide an Android APK and an iOS TestFlight-ready build. The delivery will include clean source code, reproducible AWS CloudFormation infrastructure, environment configuration, and a concise README covering import, deployment, and Flutter build commands. I can complete the import pipeline in about 1 day, backend/API in 2 days, and UI/testing in 2 days. Is the Excel sheet already in a consistent column format, or does its structure change between years? Muhammad Saad

Respectfully, Historical data analysis works best with a backend that keeps imports efficient and makes future expansion straightforward. I'll build a Flutter app with an AWS-backed import pipeline, REST API, and interactive charts for comparing air-quality trends across locations and date ranges. I'll structure the backend so adding real-time monitoring and notifications later won't require major architectural changes. I've developed Flutter applications with API integrations and cloud backends where performance, clean architecture, and maintainability were key priorities. I'll deliver the complete source code, infrastructure setup, documentation, and ensure all chart data is served directly from the AWS API. Would you prefer Amazon RDS for structured historical queries or a more cost-optimized AWS architecture based on your dataset size? Hello!! Your air quality app can be built in Flutter with a clean import pipeline from your Excel data into AWS, showing clear trend charts and location comparisons across any selected period. Before starting a few simple questions to plan things well: - Should the Excel file structure be shared upfront to plan the import pipeline accurately? - Is RDS preferred for structured querying, or would S3 with Athena fit your cost goals better? - Should the architecture already account for future real-time monitoring, even though it's not required now? For the solution, the Excel data will be parsed and loaded into an AWS backend structured for fast trend queries, with API endpoints exposing time-based data and location comparisons cleanly to the front-end. Flutter screens will let users pick date ranges and locations, displaying results through fl_chart with legible overlays for comparisons. Terraform or CloudFormation files will be included so the backend stays reproducible, along with a clear README for setup. Similar data visualization apps have been built before with clean, reliable results that users genuinely found easy to explore. Would love to chat and share the proposed AWS setup and timeline. Hi, I’ve worked on Flutter apps that visualize historical data imported from spreadsheets and backed with AWS data stores. This project aligns with building a lean MVP that delivers trend lines across multiple stations and date ranges. Execution approach: I’d start by validating the Excel format, map columns, and load the data into a DynamoDB/S3-backed store; then expose a lightweight API and connect it to a Flutter UI with charts. I’ll keep the UI simple: two screens, range picker and charts, with clean, readable labels and proper error handling. One technical risk / key challenge: ensuring the import preserves date accuracy across years and locations without heavy preprocessing. Two clarification questions: 1) Can you confirm the Excel column mapping and date parsing rules (date format and time zone)? 2) Should the MVP include authentication and a public API, or keep it open for testing? If we're aligned, I can outline the implementation plan before kickoff. Best regards, Brandon

Hi, For the AWS piece I've built and migrated backends on it directly, including deploying full web applications and handling RDS setups. AWS AWS / Web Programmer: repeat client, backend work on AWS. On the data store, for years of historical readings across multiple locations queried by date range and station, I'd lean to RDS Postgres over DynamoDB. Time-series comparison queries and location joins are simpler in SQL, and cost stays low at this volume. S3 plus Athena only pays off at much larger scale. The import can be a one-off parser that loads the Excel into RDS, with the API layer serving trend and comparison endpoints so nothing is hard-coded on the Flutter side. Team-wise we've shipped Flutter apps with fl_chart and CloudFormation reproducible backends. One question: is the Excel one sheet with a fixed column layout, or multiple sheets per location? That decides the parser shape. Want me to sketch the two-screen data flow first? Adil
