I’m building a throw-back boxing game that plays and looks like the best PS2 titles—sharp silhouettes, believable anatomy, gritty textures—yet is ready for modern platforms. I already have the core gameplay loop running in Unity and I’m looking for an artist-partner who will own every visual asset, from the fighters themselves to the venues where they trade blows. Style & references The look is realistic, just dialed back to that early-2000s fidelity: roughly 5–10k tris per fighter, hand-painted normal maps, and slightly exaggerated proportions for clarity. My visual touchstones are classic boxing video games of the era rather than movies or real athletes, so we’ll lean on those titles for scale, palette, and texture density. What you’d create • A starter roster of player and AI boxers, each with interchangeable heads, gloves, and shorts for rapid iteration • Modular environment kits that let us build everything from a grimy neighbourhood gym to a televised championship ring without breaking draw-call budgets • Crowd sprites, ring props, and menu art that all sit comfortably in the same aesthetic How we’ll work I bring the coding, animation pipelines, and publishing groundwork; you bring the character and environment art direction. We iterate together in weekly builds, polish a vertical slice for pitching, then push through Early Access. All compensation is in equity—true co-founder status with decision-making power and revenue share once the game ships. If the idea of reviving that PS2 realism while keeping the file sizes small excites you, let’s talk and swap portfolios.
