We’re looking for someone with an eye for “marketing art” to make an Album cover, back panel and cd art, foremost. But the big thing we need is a partnership. Someone I can contact at a moment’s notice to make flyers, logos, social media art, business cards, advertisements, or whatever else I need graphic wise.
The ideal person must possess excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken. If you weren’t born in a primarily English speaking country then this gig may not be for you. I don’t have time to explain the meanings of Western words (including slang). I also need someone who understands Western culture (primarily American). The person I am looking for will need to respond to my emails/texts with a sense of urgency and not make me wait several days for a response. This person will also need to be able to exercise patience and understanding with us when we make our requests for changes to the art. The changes may be subtle. They may be drastic. The candidate will need to be available for phone conversations to discuss desired project outcomes during Eastern Standard Time; between 10am and 1am.
This position is for someone with strong Photoshop skills. (We will need STRONG photo manipulation, not just adding text, or pictures to images)
Some of the work (such as the album) will be sold, so you cannot use any copyrighted images for this project or other sold projects. Also, you will not receive any additional money or royalties beyond the cost of creating the image for us. It becomes our sole property to use in whatever context we choose and you may not sell it to others.
Simple projects such as flyers should have very reasonable pricing.
Please provide pricing for package deals for flyers with your bid. This will NOT be the amount you add to the bid for making the album art. Bid only for the album art (Cover, back, cd face). Make a side note for how much you will charge for making 10 flyers. 15 flyers. 20 flyers. Etc.
The person that can come forward and “wow” me on this project with amazing art at reasonable prices, yet showcase professionalism and great communication skills, may win the partnership to be our “go to” person for future work.
THE ALBUM: 1) Album cover, 2) back panel, 3) CD face 4) Logo for album.
The following is what we are looking for regarding the album in detail:
The album is called “Necronomichron” by a horrorcore rap group called Alla Xul Elu. The album title is a play on words “NecronomiCON + Chronic = Necronomichron.” The Necronomicon is the Book of the Dead portrayed in the cult film “Evil Dead”.
The cd front cover would be a ziplock bag with a pound of marijuana. The buds should form an evil face inspired by the Necronomicon (see attachments). The face will be made out of the collective whole that is the buds in the bag. Replace the word "Ziplock" with Alla Xul Elu and write in sharpie "Necronomichron - DO NOT OPEN". We also need a back cd cover with side flaps. The art for those will again be “marijuana in a plastic baggie” to continue the theme of the album looking like a bag of weed. The back panel will be the same (look like a plastic bag with weed in it). The CD face art will probably be very similar to the Album cover but slightly different. It will have the name of the album on the baggie. (We will send dimensions for art and reference pictures later)
Again, please post your BEST possible price for this project as well as your portfolio showcasing your ORIGINAL work. Also, please note or message me what you will charge for 10 flyers, 15 flyers, 20 flyers etc.. While we strongly desire a long term partnership, we will still consider bids from those of you not interested in a partnership. But please let us know if you have no intention of a partnership beyond the album art.
Thanks and happy bidding!
