I want to build a website for wedding photographers, with a focus on both design and functionality.
1) Functionality:
It will have a backend interface and a frontend interface.
At the backend, photographers should be able to create an account, log in, upload their photos for prospective customers to see (accounts go live post review). During sign up, take detailed info about them and their work (eg: location, pricing etc.) to be used by website visitors for searching for photographers. They would also be given a calendar to maintain, which show which dates they are available on.
Frontend is targeted towards customers looking to hire photographers. Primary functionality would be to have several search filters (based on above info) to help customers shortlist the photographer. Availability on a certain date would be a filter based on calendar maintained by photographers. Customers can leave ratings/feedback on each photographer; such ratings would also be used as search filters.
2) Design
I'm looking for a beautiful yet minimalist design - beautiful enough to showcase the photographers work at the same time minimalist to keep comparison between different photographers easy/clean.
