We are looking to build a sports venue reservation website.
In the beginning the site will be focused only on tennis courts - which will be added by us and not the owners. It will be possible to sort the sport venues by popularity, review score and price. Every venue will have an individual photo album (added by us), map, user reviews and availability calendar. The calendar needs to be hourly, and the website should have a simple booking process (free time slots in green, hovering over them shows how many courts on that venue are free in that time slot and the price - click to select the time slot and a “book” button under the calendar).
To make a booking and leave reviews the users need to be able to make an account and login. There should be a option of a simple Facebook and Google+ login. The site also needs to contain a social network component so players can find partners or organize tournaments.
The venue owners will be provided with a calendar (that will be updated after client bookings, but that they can also synchronise with separate offline owner bookings) and simple accounting possibilites. We also we need a mobile application (android and iOS) for owners, which will have a calendar, allow them to check existing bookings and create owner bookings. The calendar has to be real-time synchronised with the online server and send push notifications to the owner when a booking is made. The app should be user-friendly and have simple and intuitive controls (touch->view booking, touch->add booking, select multiple courts/time slots) so that the owner is able to manage bookings in only a few clicks. A cancellation system is also required - the owner has to be able to cancel a booking and alert us, after which we alert the client (email/SMS). A mobile application for users is not yet required, but the site has to be optimized for mobile view (or have a simple mobile website at [url removed, login to view])
The payment system should include paypal, credit cards and discount code option, with a percentage taken from the court owners part and not from the client.
