We are a knitting business retail and online business in Australia looking to redo all our knitting wool images.
Rather than to farm all the individual images out to a photographer, I want to try to do the job in a simpler way by creating some image templates ( which gives the texture off the knitting yarn + the ball band )
We have around 5 ranges off yarns that come in either 3 - 4 different thicknesses.
The range off colours in each range is the same ( between 30-60 ), so if we had a template in each thickness showing the texture then I was hoping we could cross reference against a database off colours already matched to pantone codes which should be able to create the final images in a database.
We have been experimenting using Photoshop adjustment layers and masks and that seems to work well. But we are yet to create an overlay simulating the texture .
We thought it may be possible to run a script once all the components are made to create the new images . All perfectly the same shape and size but being the exact colour we are wanting to display.
I will attach some images that we have done and hopefully this will give some indication off what we are wanting to do
I look forward to any discussion and ideas in order to move to the next stage.
