It's really combing the site that takes the work -- fixing the links is fairly easy afterwards. And since the site is too big to be done by hand, then the software is as complicates as if the site were huge. I've written a number of crawlers and I can reuse something I think. But it's a little bit of work to put that kind of program together when you have pages linking to pages to other pages and you can't get caught in cyclical searches and all that...
