Overview: We are a start up looking for a x2 freelance engineers who are able to help us work on a problem we are trying to solve with regards Wide format Digital Textile Printers and the idea of ‘mass cutomisation’ / Print on Demand. 1. Wide Format Textile Printers (x1 engineer required who is hardware + software) At the moment, Textile digital printers are operated by licensed software. Once the 'design file' is ready (i.e. .jpeg, .TIFF etc), it is manually opened onto the software and the print instructions are manually added by the 'operator' - which is then sent to the printer to print. We would like to remove the need for an operator sitting inputting all the set up data (print instructions) and instead - automate this process (i.e. create a shortcut from design file > print instruction > print) Is this something you would be able to help us do / explore? Example printer: Printer: Robustelli (Monna lisa) Software: [login to view URL] 2. Mass customisation portal In parallel we would like to build x2 online portals. The first portal will be used by fashion brands to ‘upload designs’ and the second portal will be the consumer facing portal which will have all the brands clothes on it that will be ‘customisable’ by the customer.
