VBScript/ASP: Render a structured navigation from folder contents on server

I need help writing a server script in ASP that reads the contents of folders and subfolders and to render a navigation.
The html and css is already in place and you can look at the page and source in the attached files.
The navigation to the left should list all folders present in a specified folder on the server. The structure is [Website name] / [Year] / [Date] and should be the same in the navigation. [Date] links to a default url in it's folder and loads this in the iframe to the right.
COMMENTS
* Sorting should be: Web site folders in alphabetically, year and date folders after date in decreasing order
* Use already present css classes to mark active (expanded and selected) rows in the navigation.
* The first node in the top level should be expanded when entering and it's top year folder expanded and the latest date folder loaded into the frame. Other web site folders are collapsed as default.
QUESTIONS
* Will you use javascript (dynamic) or asp server code (reload) to expand and collapse the navigation?
