Make Flickr API calls faster, and to load videos from Flickr

I am a javascript developer with 6 years of experience. I just took a look of your website. The way that the images are being downloaded from the flickr api is incredibly inefficient. Also the way that the downloaded images are included in the page is amateurish. What i mean is that when every image is downloaded then it is packed in its own element and than it is appended to the DOM. This makes the browser to do enormous amount of work which is not necessary. What I can do for you to optimize it would be in two phases: 1. Find a better way to download the images from the flicker api so the request are minimized. 2. When the images are there I will append them not one by one but first create a list for all of them and then append the who list, so the DOM rerenders (does the heavy work) once per album and not once per image as it is now.
