I need to configure a NAME IN DNS CLIENT in a DISTRIBUITION IN LINUX using RASPBERRY.

The RASPBERRY PI using RASPBMC distribuition of LINUX i tried to change the HOSTNAME and the HOST file but it didn´t register the DNS in the ROUTER. I need help with it. I´m using the last version of the RASMBMC distribuition. I need to do it in my RASPBERRY. I thing to acess my machine with [url removed, login to view] and configure the raspberry pi using SSH. (PUTTY).

I need it quick.
